<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lienitnow.com\/\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-yTID17hlH_Y\/T9YK3Eh7bqI\/AAAAAAAAABM\/Y3aoKJOvwek\/s1600\/pencilholder%5B1%5D.jpg\" \/><\/a>To place a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lienitnow.com\/alaska-faq.asp\" target=\"_blank\">mechanic&#8217;s&nbsp;lien in Alaska<\/a>, if a Notice of Completion is not recorded by the property owner, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lienitnow.com\/alaska-faq.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Claim of Lien<\/a> must be recorded no later than 120 days after the&nbsp;completion of the construction contract or the last day it provided materials or  labor to the project.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Lien claimants who receive advance notice of a filing of a Notice of Completion  by the owner have <strong><em>15 days<\/em><\/strong> thereafter to file an Alaska  claim of lien. <\/p>\n<p>If the lien claimant has not given a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lienitnow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Notice of Lien Rights (pre-lien)<\/a>, it also has 15 days to file a claim of lien after the recording of  the Notice of Completion. <\/p>\n<p>A lien claimant who recorded a Notice of Lien Rights (pre-lien) has <strong><em>90 days<\/em><\/strong> after either the completion of the  construction contract or the last day it provided materials or labor to the  project.<\/p>\n<p>Once the lien has been recorded, Alaska law does not require that a lien claimant serve the recorded lien on the owner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The most difficult part of filing a lien is making sure you complete each required step within the correct timeline.&nbsp;
